During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, traditional cultural elements became a popular choice for cultural tourism experiences. Tourists not only gathered for family reunions but also engaged in activities such as wearing traditional Hanfu clothing in parks and enjoying moonlit boat rides, embracing the unique festive atmosphere. According to a report by Ctrip.com, the popularity of scenic spots offering moon-viewing and nighttime tours surged more than threefold during the Mid-Autumn holiday, while museum experiences also saw significant growth, with related bookings doubling.

Various cultural and tourism activities were abundant across the country. In Guangzhou, Yuexiu Park's Mid-Autumn festival at the Ming Dynasty city wall, Beijing Garden Expo Park's "Jingcai Lantern Show", and Wuhan's fireworks displays became top attractions. The "Red Cotton and Moonlight" Mid-Autumn festival at Guangzhou Museum offered an immersive experience of traditional culture through interactive relic games and handicraft workshops.

Beyond short-distance trips, long-distance travel inspired by traditional culture also gained popularity. Notably, the surge in ancient architecture tours in the northwest, sparked by the game "Black Myth: Wukong", led to a boom in bookings for grotto tours in places like Datong in Shanxi province and Dunhuangin Gansu province. Besides, the Jade Emperor Temple exhibition from Shanxi, held in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, drew numerous families and young visitors eager to explore the footprints of traditional culture.

With the National Day holiday approaching, cultural tourism is expected to remain a top choice. Tours with cultural themes, as well as museum and traditional cultural site visits, are likely to continue attracting tourists. Traditional culture is increasingly empowering the development of cultural tourism, becoming a powerful driving force for the prosperity of the tourism market.
